It offers high revenue potential, best-of-breed solution ready for rollout, easy entry in the market supported by Nokia Siemens Networks' Carrier Services, and a future-proof solution powered by Nokia Siemens Networks’ leadership in innovation. The most commercially deployed IP Video solution in the world, Myrio TotalManage is a feature rich and easy to use application, allowing providers to begin offering services more quickly with less effort than competing products. The application can be launched from any web browser, making it accessible to authorized users in a familiar web based environment. It allows providers to improve scalability, performance and reliability while reducing operational costs.
All transactions are captured on a per subscriber basis and stored for export to existing billing systems. Multiple billing cycles are supported ensuring all billing needs are met. Transactions from the database can be either pushed to an operator's system or pulled from the database. Myrio's solutions support Postgres and Oracle databases, enabling vendor choice and increasing cost efficiency. A variety of standards-based mechanisms may be used to extract information for use in other billing and reporting systems. Myrio TotalManage is built upon the standard for application services, Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE). The J2EE framework enables Myrio TotalManage to be a highly distributed, pluggable, scalable and flexible platform solution that support multiple network topologies, system architectures, and database solutions. Myrio TotalManage provides ultimate flexibility in service and subscriber management through a user-friendly graphical user interface and servlet based APIs that easily integrate with existing billing and customer management systems. A unique feature of Myrio TotalManage is the design of the data broker. The broker architecture enables Myrio TotalManage to use the Multicast Messaging and Data Distribution Framework (MMDDF), providing a highly-scalable multicast method for server-to-client communications, such as EPG distribution and client software updates. This flexible broker architecture also increases the choice operators have in choosing the set-top boxes they want to deploy by offering support of two set-top box types:
The Myrio TotalManage application server is deployed on Sun servers, using the Solaris operating system.
