Myrio Interactive is the end user application of the solution. It provides an exciting, family-friendly experience using a simple and intuitive user interface. With just a television, set-top box (STB), and universal remote, subscribers can watch Digital TV and Pause and Record Live TV, rent movies, listen to digital music, check the weather, browse the Web, order pizza and much more. These and other features are all part of the Nokia Siemens Networks global deployment of their Home Entertainment Solution IPTV solutions and services

Choice

Myrio Interactive is a Java-based application, that enables the flexibility and scalability operators require in their service offering. The Java-based approach allows Myrio Interactive to be supported on a variety of set-top boxes (STB) running on a variety of operating systems, providing choice in set-top boxes. The Java-based approach allows the STB to operate autonomously from the server providing an extremely robust user experience, enabling operators to offer as many video channels and packages as needed. Myrio Interactive also provides the open standards based platform for unique services, such as local Web content on TV, to further entice customers.

Convenience

Our team has studied every detail of the user experience and behaviors, from what is seen on the screen to the remote control. The user interface of Myrio Interactive maintains a consistent navigation scheme throughout, with TV as the anchor. A user needs only to learn how to navigate one screen to master the entire system. Myrio Interactive comes with a custom universal remote control that is specially designed to simplify the user experience. Hot keys are designated on the remote for ease of use and to aid users transitioning from traditional television services. This consistency makes it easy for subscribers to use the system, increasing loyalty & penetration, thus reducing customer churn.

Control

Myrio Interactive provides subscribers the ability to control their viewing experience. Favorites and Reminders enable users to keep track of TV programs in the Interactive Program Guide (IPG), and the powerful Parental Control feature allows parents to further customize the IPG, with the ability to completely remove any channel from the IPG, preventing objectionable channel or program guide information from ever being seen on the screen. Personal Video Recording allows subscribers to control when they watch TV programs with the ability to store or Pause any live TV program and return to viewing at their convenience. Because our solutions are open and extensible, operators can access the Myrio Interactive client remotely giving them an easy way to manage set-top box settings, performance and software upgrades.

Myrio Interactive provides the open platform to which all Internet Protocol (IP) based features can be easily ported. We continue to add new revenue generating services and features to meet market demands.
