Myrio Announces Video Partner Alliance Program for
Developers and Suppliers of Broadband Video Products

MVP Program Simplifies IP Video Implementations

Bothell, Wash. - Myrio Corporation, a leading provider of IP video software, today announced the Myrio Video Partner Alliance (MVP) program. The program, which was established to deliver proven, end-to-end IP video solutions for broadband service providers, allows Myrio and its partners to develop and test a comprehensive suite of IP video services, such as video on demand (VOD), pay-per-view and digital television, and streamline the process of deploying these services to the rapidly expanding IP video market.

Myrio’s IP Video Platform is a flexible solution for broadband service providers that want to offer advanced video services to their subscribers. The MVP program consists of the industry’s leading developers and suppliers, representing all the major components required to create complete IP video solutions.

“ This new program further validates our commitment to delivering flexible turnkey solutions for customers who are deploying revenue-generating video services over IP networks,” said Roger Shanafelt, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Myrio. “As the IP video market gains momentum, it is essential for the industry’s leading broadband video developers and suppliers to join forces to simplify the process of deploying advanced video services. A unified effort will help drive mass deployment of broadband video.”

The MVP program extends the sales and marketing reach of Myrio’s solution by leveraging the core competencies of Myrio’s partners. It is a continuum program that ranges from Integrated Partner to Reseller to Private Label Partner. Several industry-leading headend and access vendors, including BigBand Networks, Calix, Paradyne, and SkyStream Networks have joined the program as resellers and are integrating Myrio’s IP Video Platform with their broadband video solutions.

Myrio Video Partner – Integrated Partner
Implementation is the most critical phase in video service deployment. Decreasing the time required to implement Myrio’s IP Video Platform speeds the operator’s time to revenue. An MVP Integrated Partner works in parallel with Myrio and maintains a close working relationship with Myrio through implementation of its end-to-end video solution. In order to become an Integrated Partner, the vendor must purchase and become certified with the Integrated Partner Lab system. Current Integrated Partners of the MVP program include AFC, Allied Telesyn, CIENA Corporation, ECI, Entrisphere, Lucent Technologies, NeoNova Networks, Occam Networks, Optical Solutions, Pannaway, Tandberg Television, Tut Systems and Wave 7.

Myrio Video Partner – Reseller Partner
In addition to working as an MVP Integrated Partner, a Reseller Partner extends their traditional core competency by selling the Myrio IP Video Platform as part of an advanced IP video solution. Current Reseller Partners of the MVP program include Big Band Networks, Calix, Paradyne, and SkyStream Networks. A Reseller Partner will receive services from Myrio including:

  • Certified engineering training courses
  • Lab system license for integration testing purposes
  • Video solution implementation support and training
  • Second-tier technical support

Myrio Video Partner – Private Label Partner
Private Label Partner is the most involved and integrated partnership of the MVP program, enabling the partner to offer the complete Myrio IP Video Platform under its brand. Additionally, the software is customizable to conform to the partner’s overall product offering. Myrio’s commitments to the Private Label Partner include:

  • A unique customized derivative of the Myrio software suite
  • On-site engineer support
  • Lab System for integration testing purposes
  • Maintenance support

“The MVP program leverages Myrio’s experience and software, and our partners’ sales and marketing resources, to expand broadband video deployment,” added Shanafelt. “The program demonstrates our commitment to deliver flexible and interoperable IP video solutions to our customers.”
