June 03, 2002Myrio Debuts Latest Software Targeting Network Operators Delivering Digital Media Over Broadband NetworksAtlanta, GA - Myrio Corporation, a leading provider of software technology that enables the delivery of Digital TV and advanced entertainment services over broadband networks, announced today it will be debuting of its Version 3.0 software at SUPERCOMM 2002. Among other feature enhancements, this new release includes the option to implement personal video recording (PVR) services and the RealNetworks® RealPlayer®, giving users access to streaming media and a greater variety of Web-based content. The Myrio 3.0 software will be commercially deployed during third quarter, 2002.In addition to the new features being previewed at SUPERCOMM 2002, Myrio’s software also includes digital TV with an interactive program guide and parental controls, Video-on-Demand with VCR-like controls, Pay-per-view with previews, CD-quality Digital Music, a multi-media portal with access to weather, horoscopes, local information and news, and TV-based Web browsing. According to Myrio’s President and CEO, Charlie Jablonski, Myrio now offers more video entertainment options than any other provider in the industry. “This is the first time that consumers can receive broadcast-quality Digital TV, Pay-per-View (PPV), Video-on-Demand (VOD), and streaming video – all through their television,” said Jablonski. Completing Myrio’s end-to-end software solution is TotalManageTM, a fully integrated back-office application. TotalManage allows operators to provision content services and subscription packages and manage customer accounts. It also allows operators to track transactions and service usage, with interfaces to legacy billing systems.
