Myrio Corporation Enables CT Communications Network Inc. To Begin Deployment of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV)

Advanced entertainment services over broadband IP networks to serve subscribers in the city of Urbana, and Champaign & Logan Counties, Ohio

Kirkland, WA - CT Communications Network, (CTCN) a subsidiary of The Champaign Telephone Company, has begun deploying advanced television entertainment over its existing network using Myrio Corporation’s suite of software applications that enables the delivery of advanced entertainment, content services and Web access over broadband IP networks. CTCN will also benefit from Myrio’s ongoing professional services such as content and subscriber management and pay-per-view acquisition.

As an alternative to cable and/or satellite TV services, CTCN customers can now receive 127 Channels of digital TV (including local programming), premium channels, pay-per-view, and commercial free music. The Myrio Interactive™ solution also includes Video-on-Demand with VCR type controls, always on high-speed Internet access to the TV and PC and parental controls for TV and movie content.

"Everyone that has seen the product in action has been very impressed," says Brian Strunk, Director of Marketing and Sales at CT Communications Network. "People are surprised by the range of features that are available and are very pleased by the level of interactivity in the product. Traditional cable TV just can’t compare. There has been a lot of positive feedback from customers that have viewed the service in our retail location and we’re anticipating that it will be well received in our market."

Myrio’s integrated, Web-based provisioning software, TotalManage™ enables CTCN to quickly provision subscribers, process transactions, manage content as well as provide billing information to their legacy system. The first phase of the agreement between CTCN and Myrio includes the purchase of equipment to provision up to 3,200 subscribers.

“We provide the tools that allow network operators, like CT Communications, to change their business practice and become broadband entertainment providers,” said Charlie Jablonski, president and CEO of Myrio.“ Our solution is already working for other network providers around the country and has enabled them to dramatically increase their subscriber revenues.”
